PAR Conference Subsidies

The conference is free for all participants.

To support broad participation in the upcoming PAR Conference, we are offering travel and accommodation subsidies to ministry-funded PAR agencies. Our goal is to ensure equitable access and to make the conference as accessible as possible for all.

There are 75 subsidized spots available. Each participant may receive up to $600 to help offset accommodation and transportation costs.

Access to Subsidies

Eligible participants can indicate their interest in a subsidy directly in the registration form. Once this section is completed, a detailed form will be sent to gather all the required information.

THE PROCESS

Until April 25, one subsidized spot will be held per ministry-funded agency.

After April 25, any remaining subsidized spots will be made available on a first come, first served basis for agencies wishing to send more than one participant.
If multiple registrations are received from the same agency before April 25, additional participants will be placed on a waitlist and contacted after the deadline.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Subsidies cover up to two nights at the Courtyard By Marriott Ottawa East, up to a total of $450 per participant.
Participants must book their own rooms at the Courtyard By Marriott Ottawa East before April 30. After this date, the preferential rate is not guaranteed.
Although participants must book their rooms directly with the Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa East using the link, the conference organizers will cover the cost directly with the hotel for participants approved for subsidies.
Hotel costs will not be covered for participants from agencies located within a 100 km radius of the conference venue.
Participants are encouraged to share rooms, where comfortable, to maximize subsidy availability.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation subsidies are available for agencies outside Ottawa.
Each participant may request up to $150 for transportation expenses. Additional funding may be available depending on demand.
Receipts are required for reimbursement, unless claiming mileage.
Mileage will be reimbursed at $0.40 per kilometer, in accordance with ministry guidelines.
Transportation refunds will be issued after the conference.
